In the classes pay attention to multiple pillars of importance during your pregnancy. We teach class according to the Birthlight method, as well as a more generic flow for pregnant women.
In the Birthlight method, you increase your confidence in your body and your baby. You discover your preferences for your pregnancy and childbirth. With the exercises you restore and maintain your balance, paying attention to pelvic awareness and the importance of proper breathing. Again, much attention is paid to the bond between mother and baby. You move in connection with your baby and the exercises are easy to follow and enjoyable.
Flow pregnancy yoga combines prenatal yoga postures with deep breathing. This is how you prepare for childbirth. You first connect with your baby and find peace. Then we enjoy a continuous flow of gentle prenatal stretches and postures. These open your hips, reduce tension in your lower back and create more space in your shoulders and chest. This yoga flow allows you to move with your breath, in connection with your baby. This classes is fine to follow from the beginning of your pregnancy.
If you enjoy doing pregnancy yoga at home, at the exact time that suits you best, you can purchase an online pregnancy yoga course. It was developed by our senior Thrive Yoga teacher - Iryna Odessa while she was pregnant. This course combines 6 30-minute pregnancy yoga videos. Each video includes special breathing techniques for childbirth, prenatal yoga poses to create space in hips, lower back and strength & balance in your body, plus some helpful tips for a healthy and beautiful pregnancy. The course can be a great addition to Thrive Yoga Studio Pregnancy classes or a stand-alone practice. The videos are in English.

Prepare yourself and your partner for the birth of your little one. During the 8-hour childbirth preparation course, you will learn all about the birthing process, different postures and breathing techniques. You will also learn how to confidently handle contractions through relaxation, acupressure, visualization and other methods of natural pain relief. If you have a partner you may bring him or her along, he or she will receive practical instructions on how to best support you. In this way you can surrender to the intense natural process and your baby will be born in a harmonious way. The course consists of 4 workshops of 2 hours, 2 of them with your partner (optional) and is offered on request.
The birth of a baby is one of the most profound and formative events in life for both mother and baby. After the birth, both mother and baby have time to get used to and familiarise themselves with their new and changed lives. As a mother, you find a new balance in carrying the great responsibility that your child brings with it and picking up your own life. This 4-week Postnatal Mom and Baby Yoga course offers the possibility to gently move, relax and exchange experiences with your baby and other mothers. We will do postnatal yoga exercises with and without the baby, which among other things will strengthen the pelvic floor, abdomen, hips and back and relax the neck and shoulders. Babies can watch, sleep, drink or just join in while you are close by during classes . Come together with your newborn baby to this inspiring yoga class! For mothers and babies from 6 weeks after birth until crawling age.
Pregnancy and childbirth are a natural process of great transformation of the body and mind. All changes are aimed at creating an optimal environment for the development and birth of your baby. Our classes are designed to support this transformation on all levels. At classes your confidence in the natural powers of your own body will increase and you will be better prepared for the birth of your child.
For our pregnancy yoga classes you need a special class card . You will then receive class in a smaller group from a specially trained yoga teacher. A trial class costs € 10,- and for a loose class you pay € 20,- . Most women choose, depending on how many months they are still pregnant, for a 5, 10, 15 or 20 x class card. You can follow 1 or more classes per week with the class card .
The pregnancy yoga card is valid for all classes at the three studios, so you are not stuck to a time or location! But usually a nice group forms for class, who continue to see each other during and sometimes after the pregnancy.
Should you give birth earlier and have any strips left over, you can use them after the birth (within 1 year) for regular yoga and pilates classes or the value of your credit for taking the post-natal course for example. Then email us when you want to do something again.
