I was 19 when I first encountered (Hatha) yoga. My practice was mainly focused on the physical body. This changed in my early twenties when I got a burnout, which made me more interested in the inner world. This brought me into contact with Buddhism, meditation and self-inquiry. Meanwhile, the practice of Iyengar brought me back to the yoga mat, but it was only after I discovered Vinyasa that I was inspired to start teaching class . Gradually, my interest in the more tranquil form of Yin yoga grew, because although I am by nature a very active person, I experienced how beneficial the combination of yin and yang yoga is for body and mind, especially in today's busy world. Therefore, in my Yin classes I invite my students to slow down and look inside, while in my Vinyas classes (more of a dynamic form of yoga) I combine postures with breath and movement to create a flow to the rhythm of carefully composed music, in which effort, focus and challenge lead students to relaxation.
And whether I teach Vinyasa, Yin or a Yin Yang class , my wish is that through the practice every student will be better in touch with himself and his deeper nature in this world full of continuous distractions. I would love to welcome you on the mat!
Warm greetings,
Laetitia
